MyLittleBears
Anyone have an opinion as to whether it is worth buying the printed workbooks shipped to your house vs. the cost of ink used in printing out 70+ pages for one workbook at a time? Could use some advice. I do know you can print and reprint pages as needed for review and other children. Thanks in advance, Candice
kristinannie
I am trying to decide which way to go as well. I personally would prefer the workbook. I just like having those in my hand, but it is so much cheaper to go with the software if you have multiple kids (I guess it does depend on the ink cost though!) I am interested to see what people say!
boscopup
I printed it on fast draft, so it was very little ink. My printer already showed the low ink light before I printed 1A, and I still printed several things after that. The color is mostly thin lines. Note that the printed copy you order is black and white, which may matter for a few pages (mostly the money section).
kitten18
I printed it with my b/w laser printer, it looks fine and it probably cost me less than $2 to print a whole year. That laser printer is the best $60 I have ever spent. I really like individual pages put in a 3-hole binder so I can take out a couple pages/day, they lay flat on the table, then I put them back in the binder when they are completed. Corraleno
I print in color in "fast draft" mode, and it uses very little ink. I print out about a chapter at a time and keep the pages in a binder. That way, if DD spills something on a page or the dog chews it or whatever, I can just print a new page. Farrar
Seconding the laser printer. So worth it in the long run if you're going to be using any online or downloadable curricula and since it looks like there are more and more of them, it seems like a no brain investment to me. jewel7123
Where did you guys purchase your laser printers?
indigomama
I sent mine to the local UPS store. Year1 section B cost me less than $6, so a whole year would be around $12 and that included them hole punching it for me. We too put it in 3 ring binders and find it the easiest way to use it.
