Aubrey
for 5th-8th. I've been reading some other threads where people do some/all things every day. How does that work out? Pros/cons?
Veritaserum
In the past couple of weeks I've had dd read sections of library books (nonfiction, history) every day. We do outlining, summarizing, and timelines twice a week.
sbaloue
We are doing Biblioplan 4 World History 1650-Present. I just set the timer for 45 minutes and finish what I can within that time. We are able to get all of our reading and activities done within the school year without history taking over our day.:)
Colleen in NS
for 5th-8th. I've been reading some other threads where people do some/all things every day. How does that work out? Pros/cons? We incorporate history writing into some of our everyday writing assignments (outlines - Monday and Wednesday, rewrite on Tuesday, Thurs. writing alternates between lit./primary source/biography discussions/narrations). Extra history reading is incorporated into some of the everyday naptime reading. The actual history reading-from-a-spine, listing of facts (notetaking), and timelining happen on one day.
