We are using it and so far it's excellent.

How did it go? I'd like to use this next year and wondered if anyone had any tips on how to schedule it or organize it?

Eileen turned me on to it. Call/email her to get more details. They've been using it for a while, and it sounds like they're all really enjoying/learning from it.

My husband and I watched some of the videos, and read half the book. Although it has lots of interesting materials, I couldn't see how to easily use it in our schooling. It might be used as a supplement to some history curriculum - eg, when you study one of the sites they visited, use the corresponding video and lectures. But it didn't appear to be set up to use as a complete curriculum itself. Essentially, this set, and some others VF has produced, are tours - which are perfect supplements after studying about a place, without the expense of traveling there yourself.
