Halcyon
We watched this last night, and both my boys loved it. They wanted to start the day with Spelling today, and both kept saying "Can I please have the language of origin?" Any suggestions for Spelling Bee type books that would capitalize on this? amandajh
Funny! My kids did the same thing after watching the National Spelling Bee last year. My then 7 yr old kept prompting me to ask him "a reeeeally long one". Sometimes television can be a great thing :)

ElizabethB
Thank youU!!! You're welcome. Your local homeschool group probably either just had or will soon have their homeschool spelling bee. We just had ours. You are most likely too late for this year, but you could figure out who hosts it and maybe go watch one and get ready for next year. Yea, our local HS group doesn't participate in the bee--i mean, they have a bee, but it's just a fun thing where the kids stand on stage and spell-nothing official. My son won last year, but I think I spaced on signing up this year LOL.
