scrapbookbuzz
Greetings, good teacher moms! May you all be blessed for all that you do! What's for lunch today? Me: Hot Pockets Philly steak-n-cheese with a side of Lay's potato chips and a clementine. And because I can't think of any witty things to say or ask it's YOUR day to ask ME the questions! Ask Away! :D:bigear:

Ask Away! :D:bigear: Lunch will be leftover from the Mexican restaurant we went to last night. (Carne asada). 1. Who or what is Temple Grandin? 2. Knock, knock! Who's there? Ah. Ah, who? Do you need a tissue? Know any good knock-knock jokes?
thescrappyhomeschooler
Well, I had out of town family members trapped at my house for 2 days due to bad weather, so they've eaten me out of house and home. Lunch was left over pizza and popcorn. Not so good. I need to go grocery shopping immediately. We did a little school, and we are taking a quick break before we do science, but none of us were really in the mood. So, question for you and everyone else, how do you get back on track when you've had an unexpected distraction?
scrapbookbuzz
re: who is Temple Grandin? She's the first diagnosed autistic person that was actually able to explain how she felt inside to the rest of the world. She's also done amazing things to improve the humane treatment of cattle. in getting 'back on track': in spite of your emotions, just "do the next thing". What's the next thing that needs to be done? Ah - now I remember having seen an article on her. I just did not remember the name.

mcconnellboys
We ate at Smashburger again on our way to coop. We ate at home yesterday: french bread pizzas. What neat project are your children working on in school this week?
elise1mds
Lunch - ME: Leftover potato salad and nuts. THE BOY: Leftover chili and crackers, and a cookie after his swimming lesson So, question for you and everyone else, how do you get back on track when you've had an unexpected distraction? Like a phone call? :tongue_smilie: I seem to get a lot of those during school lately. I have to pretty much start from scratch with whatever subject got interrupted. I have to remind him of everything we talked about, get him settled, and start the whole 'you're in school' mentality over again. This is the reason I usually have the ringer turned off in the mornings. What neat project are your children working on in school this week? No big projects this week unless you count writing a story with dialogue. We did take a break from book math to touch on some fun and random topics. Today we got on the good ol' Internet and did some games with similar/congruent and lines of symmetry, and I found a new web site for him to enjoy. Tomorrow he gets to use a calendar and a clock to figure out some time/date questions.
