DawnM
:blushing: Maybe they will get taken down and put away by March!
Parrothead
Me. The tree is still up. Taking down everything is going to be our job on Saturday.
Giraffe
Me too. DH hates taking the tree down and so we still have stockings, tree, the works. He keeps coming up with new reasons to leave everything up (Epiphany! Coptic Christmas!). I'm taking it down Saturday, whether he likes it or not. I can't take it anymore. Leanna Tomlinson
Me!! I keep some things up all winter like my cranberry wreath and snowmen. The live tree is down, but the artificial dining room tree is being.... ignored. I would rather remove one thing a day than get depressed by the starkness. Anyway, with seven inches of snow on the ground all of this stuff looks ......right. :D My goal for today - change out the sparkly candles on the mantle for the plain white ones. unsinkable
Our tradition is to keep the tree up until my birthday. My mom said I was supposed to be a Christmas baby. Her doc said no, the baby'll be a New Year's baby. I was born Jan. 15th.
Hedgehog
We put the tree away (tiny house and no space!) but left the lights up because the kids like them. We'll put them away when it's not dark at bedtime any more.
Mommee & Baba
Me :001_huh:....and I'm ready for it to be in the CLOSET!! But I haven't the motivation to get it all taken down...I think today is the day! But I've been saying that for 2 weeks....
lamamaloca
Our outside decorations are up, but we haven't been turning them on. We just haven't had a good time and good weather in order to take them down.
lamamaloca
Oh, and our jingle bell door wreath is still up, but I always forget to take it down. Last year i'm pretty sure it was up until the summer.
Cinder
I met a woman who keeps her Christmas tree and decorations up from Oct to Feb. She said her goal is to have it up just a little longer each year.
Vida Winter
We didn't even get a Christmas tree this year but did put lights up indoors - they're so pretty I plan on keeping them until the snow is gone, probably through April!
justamouse
I took mine down abut 10 pm last night-that's when the first ornaments came off. I dunno. I was pissed off and when I'm pissed I clean so down the tree came. I wonder what my neighbors thought of me dragging a tree out the door at 11pm? I got most of the house done, too. :D And, I'm not mad anymore. :D:D
dcjlkplus3
Yep, since the new year my husband has had 1 day off and been working 10-16 hour days, and that is typically something that he does. I can only work with the boxes (that things get put away in) that he has gotten down from the attic. Things ARE coming down, bu we decorate ALOT and the undecorating is going especially slowly this year.
SonshineLearner
We do... but our Christmas decorations... (just the balls) have been breaking ball by ball ...thanks to the cute little kitty :)
knit247
Mine are all down and about 3/4 packed and put away. I still have the entire top of my dining room sideboard full of decorations that need to go!

DawnM
Can you come get pissed off at my house? I am sure I can find something to irritate you! Dawn I took mine down abut 10 pm last night-that's when the first ornaments came off. I dunno. Starr
Me, me, it's so pretty - who wants it down?
happyWImom
The tree is actually down, but everything else is still up. The tree decorations were easy to put away, because I have one bin for those, and each ornament box has a label. Easy. The rest of the decorations, however, are all in different bins, I have to take them downstairs individually, because the bins are too large to bring up, etc..... Yech! So, I'm not sure when they will come down. And, I'm not going to worry about it.:D
DawnM
Just found my excuse! The DC are using my Christmas bins (plastic buckets) as sleds right now since we don't own a sled and our attempts to buy one yesterday failed!~ :001_smile:
mcconnellboys
I take mine down slowly, throughout the month of January. I take down all the Santa/tree related things immediately. The things I still have around are angels and things like that....
Truscifi
We took ours down Monday, packed it all up and took it back out to our shed. Then this morning I noticed the empty stockings are still hanging on the side of the bookshelf. :glare:
Sandy in Indy
I'm hoping to get mine down this afternoon. I don't mind them being still up but dh is about to blow a gasket. I'm not sure why, but he gets antsy if they stay up after Jan. 1. Then there's the problem of the new dog mistaking the tree for an outside bush.... Laura Corin
I meant to do it last weekend, but we had snow/ice/no heating/illness/general grumpiness. This weekend for sure. Laura
Dawn in OH
I have an undecorated tree sitting in the living that I am waiting for my husband to haul outside.
*Jessica*
I got it all put away in the bins on Monday when I was feeling ok for the first time in weeks (first trimester and all of the lovely morning sickness that accompany it). However, it is still sitting in my living room. We live in a 100+ year old house with practically no closet space. We have no attic or garage and a basement that is partially fieldstone so it stays too wet for storing things. That means that our closets are very carefully arranged to maximize the space. Marc hasn't had the time to get it packed back into the closet until after the boys' bedtime, and since the closet is in their room he can't really be making a huge racket to get it done. Hopefully it will get done Saturday. If not, I'm donating all of it except for the tree decorations, tree skirt, and Christmas quilt! lol Having another baby means we're going to have even less space for storage and after looking at all of this stuff for a week I'm wondering how important it is to me. myfatherslily
Not only is our usual 3' Christmas tree up and still decorated, but we now have a new tree up! After Christmas, we found a 6.5' tree 75% off, and I wanted to put it up to make sure it had all it's pieces and looked okay. And now I have more to put away:glare: BUT, as of today, two bedrooms and our school room are MUCH cleaner! Woo hoo!!:D
texasmama
The fully decorated tree and the stockings are still up. That is all we did for decorations. I think it made it down in February of last year. I keep waiting for someone else to have some initiative.

OnTheBrink
Mine is still up, but my excuse is that I had surgery Monday and I've had a headache ever since. I'm going to try to get the Christmas stuff down tomorrow, but I make no promises.
DaffodilDreams
Dd still has her tree up in her bedroom.
