dkholland
I am thinking of jumping ship from VP to SOTW. Vol 3 following right where we are in our VP cards. Would this be a good fit for a 5th grader?? Also, are there any schedules already made for this volume? I understand there are lists of literature to go with each chapter and wondered if any one has broken out elementary age books? I'm really not lazy, just wondered.;) Thanks! Laura Corin
Hello Karen I am doing it with my 5th grader this year. It's on the light side, so we supplement with Our Island Story, This Country of Ours and the Young Oxford History of Britain and Ireland (the former two are elementary age; the latter middle school). If you go to my blog (address in my siggy) there is a spreadsheet of lined up fiction and non-fiction in the side bar, as well as another document with essay questions. I haven't used the activity guide that goes with SOTW; that would be another source for you. Best wishes Laura
dkholland
This is a great resource! I knew a mom more organized than me could figure this out. Thanks for sharing,
