Steam cleaner question

Recommended Posts

I have one of those steam cleaners for floors. I just had my walls gyprocked and the mud sanded down. So the floors are very dusty. I am sweeping etc. but would like to use the steam cleaner with some vinegar to break up the gyprock dust.

My cleaner says not to add anything to the machine. I can't see how adding vinegar to the container would hurt it. Think it's OK? Nothing gets sucked back into the machine. It all collects on the cloth.

I can't imagine that vinegar would hurt the machine, but maybe the cloths. If little chunks of the debris get into the fibers, I can them ruining the cloths.

How about just using a spray bottle with warm water/vinegar and paper towels or old clothing cut into rags?
