lauracolumbus
I can't tell from the website if I should sign up my son for the Latin I or Intro to Latin. He hasn't completed the halfway point for Henle I. Thanks, Laura
abbeyej
Intro.
abbeyej
Have you read through the syllabi? That's really the best resource for determining level.
lauracolumbus
I'll look there. I thought I had read that you take the test of the year you are in, but on one of the forms it implied that you have to be halfway through that year to take it. lauracolumbus
Abbeyej, thanks it was right there. Laura
Gratia271
My daughter has taken NLE I and NLE II. Latin I is doable for students who are not at the half way mark provided they take into account some of the minutiae that is designated on the Latin I syllabus. I had a class with five students who had completed the first 6 units. We went over the things that had not been covered, and they all scored with honors. 8filltheheart
I was trying to make the same decision about my 6th grader. She has finished all of Latin Prep one and will have completed about 1/2 of LP2 prior to the NLE. She and her 9th grader brother are completing the same course. I opted for her to take the Intro test even though her brother is taking level 1. I decided that since she is only in 6th grade, she has plenty of time to take the upper level tests and get used to the process of taking tests like these. lauracolumbus
Gratia, thanks for the perspective. 8Fill, I think that's the best decision. Thanks everyone. Laura
