PeterPan
Is he doing any OT? Have you tried anything with weight? (weighted blanket, collars, etc.) I have stuffed animals filled with beans for weight. Today I put them on my dd's lap and gave her a fuzzy ball to pet while doing her work. She's rather vicious about how she pets it, hehe, but it's calming to her. She doesn't sound as serious as yours, and she's not APD, just SPD. I made a weighted collar recently to use on the swing. It wasn't hard, took under an hour, and it weighs about 3.5 pounds with the beans. She also listens to classical guitar music, likes things that smell good (smencils, potpouri, smelly soap, etc.), and likes visual things (things with color she can focus on, etc.). She listens to the classical guitar for quite a while in the morning when she wakes up, and it definitely helps her. OT said it actually organizes the brain. Don't know what that means, but there you go, lol. Edited January 11, 2011 by OhElizabeth
