justamouse
Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Yes, I know, but I need to know if YOU all know and no googling! eta: I used it and I'm getting people asking me what it means. Like calling a character Lot's wife and having the readers scratch their heads. grumble. Edited January 9, 2011 by justamouse
texasmama
I didn't google.:001_smile: There is a Bible verse which is a version of this, as I recall - in Proverbs, I think.

HLDoll
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs something:something. It's a good reminder to put my hope and trust in the Lord, who always has my best interest at heart, and not in fallible man and temporal earthly things. If I long for what is Godly, I will not be disappointed!
