ReneTL
I'm just looking over SWB's recommendations for history and wondering if and how you memorize these lists. If so, do you memorize the list before you learn the content? For example, we're in Middle Ages this year, so we should memorize the rulers of England plus one other set of rulers. Do your kids know something about EACH ruler before trying to memorize them or do you just memorize the list? We're pretty good at memorization, but I haven't done this, because we haven't covered everyone yet. Just curious how others do this. Peace, Rene
SilverMoon
We add it to our memory boxes when we get to or near the end of the list.
2_girls_mommy
We did Middle Ages last year and memorized the kings of England through Eliz. I. We did not wait until we were near the end. We just started memorizing a section or two at a time. It didn't line up with where we were in SOTW 2 all of the time, but by the end of the year we had covered the book and had the list down.
