trying my best
normally the cards would have ALL sounds on the back for students to know. I just looked through level 2 and noticed WH has only W sound.. like WHERE or WHEN... there is nothing about WH as WHO? or WHOM?
Wendy Inman
I know the "WH" in When/Who/etc is covered in level 3. I lent my level 3 book to a friend so i can't look it up to remember how they handled it... but yeah now that i think about it, you'd think the /hw/ sound would be on the back of the yellow card too. prairie rose
I believe those are taught as rule breakers. Normally wh says /w/ as in, what, where, why, when, whale, whim, white...it says /w/ much more often than it says /h/ like in who or whom so /w/ is the sound it makes and if it makes any other sound it's memorized as a rule breaker.
