Pam "SFSOM" in TN Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Danica McKellar (Winnie from The Wonder Years) has a new book and this associated website. [Full disclosure: The word "suck" is used here, as in, doesn't.] Heh, and I guess you could read her work here, too. No controversial words there. My favorite part was where they wrote: "And our result is clear." Hahahahaha! Quote
Jenny in Atl Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 My dd12 has read the bk and enjoyed it. Quote
RoughCollie Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 We gave this book to DD, age 12, for Christmas. She read it and liked it. RC Quote
Kelli in TN Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Goodness. What is the lowest grade that you think could use this? I would love for my daughter to grow up with a different attitude about math then her mother and older sisters did. Quote

I had our school library order the book this past fall. Quote
GailV Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 My 12yo dd also has the book. She liked it. She said it was better than Murderous Maths. Quote
Robin in Tx Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I saw an interview with her a while back and she is also a pretty good ballroom dancer. She's very impressive, all the way around! Quote
Robin in Tx Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Pam, thanks for mentioning this book. I just told dd about it and she wants to read it (something about it being the only way I'd allow her to read a book that cusses :)). Anyway, thanks so much! I've put a hold at the library. Quote
Lizzie in Ma Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Looking forward to it. I liked what she had to say on the website. Quote
