Colleen in NS
In SOTW 3, ch. 22, p. 213 in the American Revolution section, it says "...in fields outside the Massachusetts settlements of Lexington and Boston and the New Hampshire town of Concord." The section goes on to keep referring back to this same Concord, in describing Revere's and Dawes' ride to warn people. But isn't that Concord the one in Massachusetts? Concord NH is quite a bit further north...(I used to live in Concord NH, that's why this caught my attention) I always thought it was Concord MA that was involved in the revolution. Is SOTW 3 correct in saying New Hampshire, or not?

Plink
Paul Revere did not ride to Concord, NH. We use the audio books and I didn't catch the error when we listened to that chapter a few weeks ago, but I'll take a look/listen when I get a chance. JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
Ummm...No, in every book I've read all the action was in Concord, MA. They even have a state holiday to celebrate the occasion. How did this error slip though (not to mention slip past me!)?
debbielong
Funny - I just read that section this week and it struck me as odd....
Colleen in NS
Paul Revere did not ride to Concord, NH. in every book I've read all the action was in Concord, MA. Thanks! I thought I was mixing something up, and googling for the answer didn't confirm anything to me. Nothing that I found online actually specified which Concord - MA or NH. But I was pretty sure it was MA. (nevertheless, I still adore SOTW!!!)
Justin from WTM
Hi...Justin here from Peace Hill Press. You're right. The town in question was Concord, MA, not Concord, NH. We found that error a while ago, and fixed it in the more recent versions of the book. The print and PDF versions of the book no longer say "New Hampshire." I guess I do have an older copy - this is my second go-round of the history cycle. I don't know why I didn't notice that on the first time around.
