Can anyone tell me about the aquarium at the Mall of America?

Is it worth the price? How much time can you spend in the aquarium?

I went with DS a year or so ago. I remember thinking that it wasn't super huge, but very well done. I would like to go with DH sometime.

 

I think we spent between one and two hours there.

I went there about a year ago, and we had fun. We had received gift certificates for the three boys to go. I had to pay $18 for just myself to get in. We spent about an hour there, which I don't think is worth the price. It was fun, but I wouldn't do it again.

We loved it for dd when she was younger- she loved being in the tunnel surrounded by the bright fish, watching the turtles, petting the stingrays.

 

That being said, it was the only time we went- it's expensive for what it is and is shorter than you think.

 

I'd go through once, then go the the Rainforest Cafe (pretty cool place and not a bad price, esp. if you share meals which we do regularly anyway), then go through again, slower this time. We went through once due to time that day, but I would have liked to make a trip back through to stop longer and watch.

It's expensive for what you get, but it's well done. They do have homeschooling days. The last one was in October? I got 3 kids and 1 adult in for $15. THAT was worth it. I would never pay full price.
