Leonor
I just purchased the Kindle Wi-fi and got an email offer from amazon for a 2yr extended warranty for $39.99. I didn't even think about a warranty. The only time I have purchased a warranty has been for my ds laptop. In that case, it was worth it. Looking forward to your comments. Night Elf
First I read that as 'Did you get a warranty for your kids?" I did not get the warranty. Thankfully I've not had any problems with it.
GypsieFamily
A one year warranty without paying extra. Eyve been great. Twice we ve had a kindle have a partial screen freeze. They've replaced it, no questions asked within the week (to Australia).
TechWife
No I did not. A few days after I got it, I fell on it, my knee went into the screen and there it went! The damage was not covered under the warranty that came w/it, so they offered to let me send it in for repair. Now, to them, a repair is that they charge you 1/2 the price of the Kindle and they send you a brand new one. They mailed me a pre-paid shipping ticket and I returned the broken one to them at no cost.
Guest RecumbentHeart
DH bought mine from Target and bought a warranty through them which was better (would have covered the above incident). With our toddler it was only wise to do. :tongue_smilie:
