lavender Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 ....so much for low prices. :sad: Not that I have anything against Christian Books, it's just that every time I price shop them, they have been more expensive EVERY time when compared to Pennywise, Rainbow, Amazon, etc... I LOVED Pennywise. Their prices were low and offered free shipping at certain times of the year. WAAAAHHHH! What is it with all these companies getting bought out lately? Pennywise wouldn't have been bought if they weren't for sale, KWIM? It makes *us* sad, but I bet the Pennywise folks are at least a little relieved that their financial burden has been somewhat alleviated. I've purchased from CBD but really dislike their internet catalogue - for some reason I find it very difficult to find specific things and to navigate compared to other places. Of course, for other reasons, I was sad when Pennywise took over The Book Peddlar earlier this year, because I always enjoyed their catalogue and website and I "felt" like I knew them because I knew of the owner when we were at the same college.
