persephone43
What do you do when you have purchased something from the sale and swap board and you have not got your package and the seller wont respond to messages? The seller stated she would mail it before Christmas, but the tracking info states that the post office was electronically notified by the seller of a future shipment on Dec 30th, but no item yet to deliver. Now her pm box is full and cant receive anymore messages. I feel like Im at a dead end. Help?
ThatCyndiGirl
If you have no other way of contacting her maybe you could start a thread stating, "ScreenName, your PM box is full!" I don't know if that is allowed for this reason, but I've seen other people do it. ETA: If it were me and I paid by paypal I'd open a grievance, or whatever they call it on PayPal. Nakia
Something similar happened to me (twice), and I tried sending private messages and emails to no avail. Did you use paypal? If so, and you did not use the personal tab, you can file a complaint. Paypal will refund your money until the seller can prove she actually mailed the package. I hope your package arrives soon. If you want to, you can pm me, and we will see if we are dealing with the same person(s). :tongue_smilie: ETA: I would definitely give her some more time to answer you and/or the package to arrive. With the holidays, there could have been delays for sure. Edited January 5, 2011 by Nakia
scrappyhappymama
Well, if the seller only created the shipping label on Dec 30th, it may not have been picked up until the 31st, and there's only been two mailing days since then, yesterday and today. So, especially if she sent it media mail, you wouldn't have it yet. It doesn't fix that she delayed mailing it a week beyond what she promised, but at the holidays I'm not surprised. She should be communicating better with you, but since you know it was most likely shipped, I'd probably give it a few more days to see if it shows up, and give the seller a chance to clean out her inbox. If you got a notification of shipment through Paypal, you should be able to use the tracking number to ship. But if it is through USPS, don't be dismayed if it still says prepared for pickup. Sometimes USPS doesn't update their tracking until it's actually been delivered. :glare: But yeah, definitely, if it hasn't arrived in the next few days and you still don't hear anything from the seller, and it's getting close to your 30 days on Paypal, I'd file a dispute. I've sent items and the system didn't update any tracking information other than that same message (about the shipper prepared the package for shipment) until after it was delivered. The online postage tracking system is not very trustworthy.
