I'm no longer a homeschooler.

Does that explain my emotions well?

We're on the downhill slope towards our new life. It isn't what I envisioned and hoped for, but I can see a glimmer of good on the horizon.

I'm still a homeschooler at heart and always will be.

There's a reason you are traveling the road ahead even if it's not clear right now. :grouphug: It's all going to work out for good, and it's great to hear you say you can see that glimmer.

Wishing you all the best! :)

:grouphug: I would go get coffee with some friends. That's what I've always said when I'm burned out with homeschooling, as in, "For Pete's Sake! I could be out having coffee with friends, but instead I've signed up to run AnimalHouse!" ;)

Thanks everyone.

I think back to 2005 when I sat in my kitchen and told my friend cathmom that I was bored staying home. I would do just about anything to go back to then - we still had out house, dh still was at the same job he'd been at for 5 years, and life seemed a lot easier.

I'm trying to see it as a new adventure, but I am pretty sad tonight.

That's because we were totally naive then, thinking it would all work out someday somehow, and trying to fit other people's molds of how life should be.

brings a smile to my face. A homeschooler at heart...

Fondly remembering the special times when...

you and your kids were the only ones in the public library on a school day,

or when people would comment on how smart your kids are,

or when, on doctor's visits, your doctor asks if you need an excuse slip for public school and your kids would pipe up, "We don't need one. We're homeschooled."
