LauraGB
Preferably one that doesn't include processed cheese like Velveeta. I want to make nachos for dinner tonight, but I'm kinda sick of the same old way I make them, so I think I want to turn the cheese into the saucy kind. Thanks! Samiam
I make the kind they use at Moe's ( or Qdoba's in some parts of the world) 1 lb of White American cheese from deli (yeah, American cheese for mexican food, weird, right?!) 1 container of Whole whipping cream (16 oz) but I tend to use about 2/3 of it. 1 small can of chopped green chili's (these are not spicy at all, just add a wee bit of flavoring, my DS4 and DS7 eat this so I know it is not spicy at all). Don't drain, just dump in pan. Put it all in sauce pan, stir while melting over low heat. Yummy!! Huge hit in my family and tastes exactly like Moe's Queso! Mynyel
This looks promising.. Haven't tried it but... http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/White-Nacho-Cheese-Sauce/Detail.aspx The recipes calls for pepperjack but I would figure you could use cheddar instead. I am going to have to try this one!
