BikeBookBread
So, for those of you who still have a tree up, when do you plan on taking it down?
Chris in VA
Epiphany (Jan 6) in our house! We like to celebrate the whole 12 days. Since it's a Thurs, we might wait until that Saturday.
Veritaserum
We took off the ornaments yesterday and I plan to haul it to the curb today.
Rich with Kids
Today. It's hard for me to get back into school until it's done.
Amy in NH
Not until our big boys come home and we've had Christmas with them. So, probably on the 9th.
KristineinKS
I voted "Other" because our tree came down Saturday. I had planned to leave it up until Epiphany but it was pretty much "done" -- dropping massive amounts of needles if anyone so much as brushed up against it. Renthead Mommy
Actually it was last night, but I put today. It was almost today when it came down. We had company over to 'do christmas' last night. We said goodbye in the house and I carred things out to the car and did the final good bye. They were pulling out of the drive as I walked back in the front door. My husband starting to take down the tree. That quick he already had some stuff packed up. I was :blink: He says "What? Christmas is over!" Me: "But they aren't even off our street yet!" So it was ALMOST today.
plain jane
Earliest we'll get it down is this Saturday. Might even end up being next week some time. :o I actually enjoy sitting in front of it in the evenings and since I really dislike all the work to put it up, I'm reluctant to undo it all and take it down.:tongue_smilie: It'll be down by mid-January, so I don't think it's up excessively late (fake tree). Lightly Salted
So, for those of you who still have a tree up, when do you plan on taking it down? we're taking it down tonight, which is really early for us, but coincides with a huge decluttering process in prep for listing (and hopefully selling) the house. abbeyej
I would wait for Epiphany at least, but it was making dh antsy, so it came down yesterday. As someone else observed, it would probably be even harder for my kids to start back to school with the tree up... So maybe it's good. But I love having the tree up! LibraryLover
The 6th or 7th. I put away the other decorations and vac'd. My dh's family used to keep the tree up until the 12 days of Christmas ended. It looks pretty, and everything else in the house is in order. dirty ethel rackham
Same here. Although our diocese celebrates the Epiphany on the closest Sunday, we were too busy yesterday, so we will be waiting.

AndyJoy
Other: We're PUTTING OURS UP this week! We were gone for Christmas and didn't have time to decorate before leaving. Yesterday we bought an artificial tree on 75% off clearance. We're planning to put it up and decorate it this week so we can take stock of what we have and get rid of all the random extra ornaments and decorations that we don't want! Caitilin
We put our tree up "late" and so we take it down "late"; I like to wait till after Epiphany, on January 6th; it's likely that it'll stay up till the weekend.:)

justamouse
this is the first year that I'm not flipping out that it's not down yet. I kinda like it up, still. I'll take it down later this week when I have more energy and the house isn't full of sickies.
AnitaMcC
I would prefer the "other"... but I voted for sometime next week... because that is likley how it will go. :tongue_smilie: We were supposed to take it down yesterday. Didn't get to it due to football-LOL. :D I might get lucky and we get to it this week.
Impish
*I* am not taking the tree down. Its Wolf's sole responsibility this year. Its an artificial we've had for about 5 yrs. It looks horrible. I want it in the garbage. And I sure as heck am not wrestling that sucker back into its box one handed. So, the short answer is, "Whenever Wolf decides to take it down"
prairiebird
Usually Epiphany, but this year the tree went out early because I think a deer peed on it before we cut it down. Not the most festive of aromas.
dcjlkplus3
So, for those of you who still have a tree up, when do you plan on taking it down? As soon as my husband has time to get the boxes out of the attic (I can't reach) and help. But he did get the boxes for the village out this morning and I will try and put that away today. Doodle
We just had our Christmas gathering with my husband's family yesterday. We host so I left the decorations up. Many came down after all the guest had left last night and the remainder came down this morning. Just about everything has been filed away neatly in the basement. Now I am on the lookout for snowflake or snowman decorations to put up.

I only had a 3ft tree for my son's room. While undoing all the ornaments and lights, I was thinking how glad I was that we did not do a bigger tree this year. ChemMommy
Tree pick-up ends on Friday, so we'll probably take it down on Thursday. We put it up late this year, but usually it is down by Jan 1st--new year and all that stuff!

Ginevra
One of my (now grown) nephews has a birthday at the end of December. I've gotten so tired of my SIL telling me ad nauseum, "Because of X's birthday, we always take the tree down immediately after Christmas. We want to make sure his birthday is special, so we get rid of anything Christmas before his birthday, so he can feel special." I got so sick of hearing that every year, I think now I leave up my decorations for just ages, just so it'll bug the SIL. ;)
happyhomemaker25
I have just had so much other stuff to do.
