Patches Posted January 2, 2011 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Couch to 5K is a good app. It beeps and turn a different color for running time and gradually progresses. You can also listen to your own music while you exercise. It keeps up with where you are (what week and day) although you can repeat if desired. I highly recommend it. You add music from your iPod and it has a voice that says, "Walk for 2 minutes" and then "Run for 8 minutes" or whatever the timing is. I like this one a lot because I can listen to my own music. It was not free. I think it was $4.99. Runkeeper is free through the end of January, I think. So if you think you will use it in the future, you should download it now. I will have to see if they work with a shuffle (dh has one he got for free a couple of years ago and it has never been used). I have an iTouch, but my girls have taken it over for audio books which they listen to when they get up in the AM (the time I would be running); and my old Nano's screen doesn't light up anymore.
