Beth in SW WA
We're on day 96 and I want to make our 100th day party special. Short of eating 100 pieces of candy, any other fun ideas? Thank you in advance!!
TolleLegeAcademy
Build something with 100 ______ (whatever is easy to find around the house....q-tips, cotton balls, toothpicks) Read 100 poems throughout the day See how many ______ (jumping jacks, rolls, etc.) you can do in 100 seconds Find at least ______ ways (according to ability) to make 100 Have fun! :) -Kim
jer2911mom
Have each child take 100 footsteps and mark where that is. Count 100 items. Draw 100 of something. Collect 100 items outside.
moonlight
have school for only 100 minutes or if you are going to take the day off then only for 100 seconds... bake a cake or brownies and add 100 m & m's to the batter. figure out how many ways you can get to 100. 10 times 10, 99 plus 1. 200 divided by 2, etc. seema
blakereese
Write down (all of the kids and even you can add to this) 100 reasons why you enjoy homeschooling. Is that a lot?? I think you could do it, especially with listing every.single.little.thing like longer lunch break, lots of potty breaks, etc. :) I also like the idea of building something with 100 items. My son would love that one. This reminds me to see when we'll get to the 100th day here. They always had a big celebration in public school for the 100th day, and DS loved it. Thanks for the reminder!
FloridaLisa
Back on our first year, we made 100 Day placemats. Large piece of construction paper, divided into 10 sections and I had the kids stamp 10 in each section (they were young; you could tweak this). I laminated them and they ate on them forever! School keepsake. :001_smile: Google is your friend here. There are hundreds of ideas that creative teachers have come up with! Lisa
Beth in SW WA
Thank you! Abi asked if she could watch 100 minutes of Sarah Palin's Alaska. :001_smile:
Mom22ns
How about making "100" glasses - the zeros are the eyes. Just cut them out of cardstock. http://teachers.eusd.k12.ca.us/bbuchel/teacherideas/100thday/glasses.htm
