Can I freeze a 1 lb. block of mozzerella cheese in its unopened sealed plastic?

Yep! In my experience, the consistency changes eeeeever so slightly--there was some liquid that had leached out, and the cheese itself was a bit drier than I expected, but it still melted fine and tasted fine when thawed. I know people who do it all the time. My friend who does it makes a lot of pizza. She says it's easier to grate that way!
