fairfarmhand
I got this book from my dh for Christmas. http://www.amazon.com/Pie-Tried---True-Delicious-Homemade/dp/155832254X/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1293551694&sr=1-5 It has over 300 pie recipes in it. I have longed and waited for this book for so long. I love to make pies, but I do tend to get stuck in a rut with my favorites. So this coming year, I am planning on trying a new pie recipe each week. Just something I thought I'd do for fun. Would anyone be interested in hearing about my pie journey? :001_smile: Edited December 28, 2010 by fairfarmhand

Annie G
I'd love to hear about your pies! But I'll have to read on the sly...dh loves pies so much and if he finds out you're making one every week, he might turn green with envy. SonshineLearner
My husband would love for me to follow you... and make them!!! :)
Parrothead
I'd be interested. I actually thought of doing a pot of soup a week. I just decided yesterday that I was going to make soup once a week. Now I suppose I ought to do that extra bit and make 52 different soups. I'll share my pies if you'll share your soups.... Hopefully you'll share your recipes even if she doesn't share her soup recipe.
Sparkle
:lurk5: I'd love to hear about your pie adventures. Maybe you will inspire to make some myself. I always make pies at Thanksgiving but never anytime else.
aggieamy
I'd love to hear about the pie (and soup!) making adventures. I'm not much of a pie maker but I'm up for making a bunch of soups.
Blueridge
How fun! Now I'm thinking of doing a new salad every week. :) That goes well with a new pie once a week, doesn't it?? ;)
Mom-ninja.
There's no way I could do that. My poor DH would never lose weight.
JoyfulMama
I might be inspired to bake pies and cook soup along some weeks... share away!!!
fairfarmhand
There's no way I could do that. My poor DH would never lose weight. since there are six of us and 8 slices of pie, that only gives each person one and a quarter slices of pie per week. That's not too bad of a splurge. Mom-ninja.
since there are six of us and 8 slices of pie, that only gives each person one and a quarter slices of pie per week. That's not too bad of a splurge. I'm jealous. My 9 yr old can't have wheat, my younger two don't like pie. So that would leave the entire pie for my dh and me. Desert Rat
I would love to make pies! I'm just not a rolling out the crust kind of girl. I do make lots of cookies though. How about I try new cookies every week while the OP tries pies? We could have a lot of fun! OP, I'd love to hear about your pie making journey! MomOfOneFunOne
I wish there were pie pans and recipes for small families. I know we *could* make a whole pie and freeze half but, well, we won't. It would be fun, though.
