I just realized that the dc didn't make or buy anything for the grandparents yet this year, other than their framed Christmas photo. Time's short. Any quick ideas? We chose an album that we could remove the cover and the kids made a personalized cover. We did snapshots from events throughout the year. I had some square canvases. we painted them black with acrylic paint and then painted the kids palms and each finger a different bright color. We've been joking about how we bought them a goat, and then gave it someone else. They told us they didn't want anything, but we wanted to honor them in some way. We are wrapping up some old books for Grampa to read when he goes to FL for 2 months this winter. They always read such carp, so I got him some great books (but not Great Books, necessarily) for about a dollar each at the library sale. It's always funny when everyone opens the gifts. They are only 6 and 3 so sometimes the gift doesnt really match the recipient. A few years ago, when my oldest DD was about 3 and DH took her to the Dollar Tree to shop for my birthday, she got me a book about grandparents LOL.
