Grandparent gifts from the dc

Recommended Posts

We made some really neat canvas handprints. I had some square canvases. we painted them black with acrylic paint and then painted the kids palms and each finger a different bright color. They turned out better than I thought they would and look very artsy. I'll have to take pics tomorrow after we seal them.

We made a donation to World Vision and bought a goat in my in-laws' honor. We've been joking about how we bought them a goat, and then gave it someone else. They told us they didn't want anything, but we wanted to honor them in some way. You can still do this today and print out a nice card for them that explains what you've done.

Oh, I get it--a goat for an old goat! :D

Not meaning to be disrespectful, I just thought it was funny...

We are wrapping up some old books for Grampa to read when he goes to FL for 2 months this winter. They always read such carp, so I got him some great books (but not Great Books, necessarily) for about a dollar each at the library sale.

Dollar Tree. I always let my kids go in and pick out whatever they want for each person. I never say no. It's always funny when everyone opens the gifts. They are only 6 and 3 so sometimes the gift doesnt really match the recipient. A few years ago, when my oldest DD was about 3 and DH took her to the Dollar Tree to shop for my birthday, she got me a book about grandparents LOL.
