Which is better for success in "Academia"?

Recommended Posts

I am planning on doing an annual focus using TOG. One year, we'll focus on Philosophy and the other, Literature.

We'll be entering TOG 4, Modern History. And probably in a year or at the earliest, spring 2012, ds will enter CC slowly.

Do you think Philosophy or Literature will be more beneficial to help him in college? Will having a focus on modern philosophy help him naviage the inclinations of his professors and their teaching styles or lecture leanings?

He'll still read the lit. selections from both years, but when we focus on Philosophy, we won't have discussion time on the lit. selections beyond meal conversation.

Thank you, oh wise hive!
