gaillardia
We are fostering mom cat and four kits. Mom was spayed at a clinic on Monday. I had no contact with the clinic, a nice cat lady took momcat there for me. I was told to no longer allow kits to nurse; momcat now has swollen hot "udder". We keep them separated, kits are over 8 weeks and doing fine. She seems okay, walking around fine, able to jump up onto the counters :glare: with no problem. Is there anything I can do other than not feeding her as much and limiting her water intake to decrease her milk production? I don't want this to turn into mastitis. Anyone? This is a rescued cat who mostly lives outside but is now in my house until she recovers. I won't be keeping her, allergies in family. celticmom
I have heard of cabbage leaves for humans so maybe some sort of cool compress?
