How much depends on what you can tip, where you are and what kinds of responsibilites your super has, and how much he helps you personally, and in some part how good a guy he is and whether you have a real relationship with him or not. When I lived in NYC the super really helped my family--DH was abroad for 6 months and the guys in the building went out of their way to help when they could. How subtle. :glare: I agree with asking the neighbors how much they give, because "expected" amounts can vary widely, depending on where you live. Don't even get me started on how much you have to tip in Manhattan. :eek: Let's just say it's a LOT,and I still shudder to think of it.
