klmama
Do high schools that include only 10th - 12th grades include grade 9 (from what they call middle school) on their transcripts, or do colleges accept just those three years of grades for high school? Has anyone done this in their home school and had it accepted by colleges?
elegantlion
Eons ago our high school building only housed 10th-12th grades. However, our 9th grade classes were still part of our transcript.
DH in Las Vegas
Same here. In California (in the 1980's) junior high was physically 7th, 8th, and 9th and high school was 10th, 11th, and 12th, but my transcript included 9th grade. I personally don't know of anyone who doesn't include 9th as part of high school for GPA and transcript purposes.
Hannah C.
Ninth grade is included as part of high school. I attended public school from 10th-12th grade. When I started there, the school itself was 10th-12th grade. I've never seen my high school transcript, but I'm almost positive that my (homeschool) grades from 9th *were* on there. At the very least, I never had to send a 9th-grade-only transcript to any colleges, which they would have asked for otherwise.
