Mommy22alyns
I see that multiplication is introduced in LU 205 - will I need the multiplication flash cards during that LU? Thanks!
nukeswife
We're just starting CLE math 2, but if I remember correctly in the TM it said the Division/Multiplication flashcards aren't coded, so you can use any one you have on hand or can get. You don't have to have the ones from CLE. Also the back of the TM should have which ones are used in the Appendix, I'll go check mine and post back. Veritaserum
Hmm. Do the samples give any clue? You definitely use them in level 300 (dd8 is in this level).
nukeswife
Ok I'm back, and first off the appendix only has the +/- cards. So I looked in my TM and they don't actually start using the flashcards until LU 206 Lesson 12. I see that they introduce the concept of multiplication before that, but don't actually use the cards until that lesson. I also noticed that in the TM on the pages that are the LU Overview, it will say which multiplication cards you'll need (x0s, x1s, etc) listed there and will tell you when in the LU they will start being used. Joyofsixreboot
We never used them and ds knows his multi facts cold, but the word on the CLE list is just use regular flash cards.
blessedmom3
Instead of multiplication cards, I rather rec. Times Tales or http://www.amazon.com/Times-Tables-Fun-Way-Multiplication/dp/1883841437 We have this one and my 7yo enjoys it and has retained all the facts very well. We do use and love CLE addition flashcards though.
