joannqn Posted December 21, 2010 Share Posted December 21, 2010 This recipe has no cornstarch and are awesome. Makes a lot of cookies, too. I rolled it out and used cookie cutters. If you look in the comments, on the first page (unless it's been moved down by more comments), there is a commenter who told how she added chocolate to half the dough and made spiral chocolate/regular cookies...yum! In The Great White North Posted December 21, 2010 Share Posted December 21, 2010 I've made a similar shortbread. The vanilla is sort of optional. Some recipes include salt (also optional AFAIK). It tasted fine without either the vanilla or the salt, but I could see where they might enhance it. I've never even seen one with cornstarch.
