Osmosis Mom
So, who has done this? I found this recipe here which calls for glycerin (where do you get that??): http://frugalgranola.com/2009/02/homemade-liquid-hand-soap/ and of course now I am wondering who is doing this.... zookeeperof3
I bought mine at wal-mart...it was in the first aid section. I make liquid hand soap all the time. I use the little slivers left over from bath soap bars....for some reason no one wants to use them. When I'm lazy, I just dilute Ivory liquid dishwashing liquid, it works well. Have fun! Chrystal
I have a from scratch recipe that doesn't use glycerin. Glycerin is a by-product of soap making when you use a base and an oil. To use my recipe you have to be comfortable using lye and have a source for it. You can find glycerin in the craft store too. You also might try the cake decorating section. It is used there as well.
