Nestof3
I put a tsp of BP instead of BS in the flour for my gingerbread cookie recipe. What should I do? Can I still use the mixture?
elizabeth
I think it will be ok I have substituted before and it was not a problem. You might want to be careful when rolling out to use powdered sugar for avoiding the problem of sticking to the rolling pin so they will not be dry. This might be the case if you use flour. Ask me how I know:lol: hockey puck gingerbread ....
plain jane
I have no idea, but I just wanted to say that the outcome has *got* to be better than using baking soda instead of baking powder. Dh did that to our pancakes once. :ack2::ack2::ack2:
Mom2J112903
You might have some flat cookies, but they should still be good. You could have done like my DH did one year. He was trying to be a good SAHD (I was working as a nurse in an OB/GYN's office that year) and make a batch of cookies with J, whom had just turned 3. He saw white sugar and used powdered sugar! He said "but it said *white* sugar hun" Men :tongue_smilie:
Nestof3
I just went ahead and made a new mixture of flour and baking soda. Now I have to come up with something to use 3 cups of flour and 1 tsp of baking powder in. ;)
