Can You Recommend Some Readers?

DD4 has done about 1/2 of the lessons in Phonics Pathway. We're also using the pyramid exercises in Reading Pathways on the side. We've been using Bob Books 1-2 as a supplement. Nothing exciting about the Bob Books, I guess because they're pretty easy for her.

Can you recommend other readers for her to try - something that you could get for free over the internet would be ideal.

Also is it necessary for dd to read real books in order for her to exercise her phonics skills as she progresses with her lessons?

We worked our way through every level 1 reader I could stand to look at. Our library has many, I bought many more:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=level+one+readers&x=0&y=0

Our favorite, which is more level 2, was the book I learned to read with. It is old, but very charming.

:iagree:

the website reading a to z has a free trial period where you can check out their readers and print off many in a day. My son enjoys them because there are plenty that are non-fiction.

Thanks for the link
