stormy weather
If I am posting art and photos on my blog do I need to ©or ® or both? What about my writing, mainly poetry? Do I need to say that on everything I post or just a general disclaimer some where on the blog? ETA: this is not a blog about homeschooling, it's just for me. Robin M
Add a creative commons copy write license to your blog. It is free and it's a general disclaimer. Also if you design widgets, add your blog name to it. That's what I do. If anyone makes a copy of the picture for their blogs, my name is on it. If I don't care about it, then I don't put my name on it.
Hen
from what I understand, your creative work is protected by copyright as soon as you publish it (post it) so you don't need to mark everything with a copyright symbol. However, lazy, unscrupulous people may take your stuff...I watermark my photos with my blog name and put the blog name on the corner of the photo, and usually when I name the photo while saving it- I will include my blog name and the word copyright to hopefully give someone pause. It is a dilemma of sharing publicly, unfortunately.
