Willow
I spend a lot of time reassuring my 3 adult dds that it is OK if they don't come home for Christmas/ birthdays etc. I don't want them to feel like we have over the years, always feeling guilty and on the receiving end of all sorts of emotional blackmail. I say I'm always happy to see them and if they have plan for the day (whatever day) then that is great too. But I have now heard that all 3 will be home for christmas. :D :D :D I shall celebrate here because I had better be all chilled and calm about this at home or they will smell a rat. ;)

Having been on the receiving end of it makes one very determined not to dish it out.
