OrganicAnn
My DD 6.5 loves to watch PBS's Nova. No topic is too much for her. Sunday she watched the show about absolute zero. I allow her to watch while I comb out her newly washed hair (otherwise she complains about how much detangling hurts). Anyway my DH and I looked at each other in amazement at how the program keeps her interest. So who else watches?
Bird Girl
My 8 yo and my 5 yo love it. TV is the magic item when it comes to hair detangling and all manner of small annoyances, isn't it?
Jen in PA
My kids love it, too. DD will watch her favorite episodes over and over on the pbs website.

Harriet Vane
My kids really enjoy Nova as well. I consider it science enrichment. :D
Unicorn.
My kids really enjoy Nova as well. I consider it science enrichment. :D :iagree: My kids used to watch it all the time. Then we got cable a year ago. :tongue_smilie: But the cable is going away in 2 weeks, so they'll most likely start watching it again....if the converter box works.:D
dirty ethel rackham
My kids have always watched science shows not necessarily aimed at kids, even at young ages. We actually could not stand the "kid" science shows after about age 3. So, we have watched NOVA, Nature, any National Geographic special that interests them, lots of Discovery Channel shows. The "lightest" show they watch is Mythbusters.
NanceXToo
We've never seen it over here. But based on this, I just looked at Netflix and saw there were a few that can be 'played now,' so I chose one that looked like it might be interesting (the one about what dreams are) and added it to my instant play list to check out later. Mejane
We never missed it, but the 8pm time does not work with our schedule anymore. We love ScienceNow and catch that whenever we can.

TravelingChris
My kids were always watching adult science shows when they were young. They still watch them. Not necessarily NOVA, though sometimes that one too.
Saille
We love NOVA, Nature, Time Team America, Science Now, all the "house" shows (Colonial House, Frontier House), the Ken Burns documentaries, etc..
annlaura
DS4 very nearly attacked DH once when he tried to change the channel from a Nova episode. We don't watch regularly, but sometimes catch it, especially if animals are involved.
OrganicAnn
Thanks. I'm glad we aren't totally alone in this. My family is sciencey, but I know other people would think this is weird.
