Can you recommend some fun supplements for learning Spanish?

My older elementary and middle school kids are really enjoying Rosetta Stone Spanish. I'd like to get them some fun games or other activities to supplement.

I get the Scholastic News Bilingual editions for my DD to get reading practice. She enjoys the activities and also gets some different vocabulary. I think they have some magazines for older kids in Spanish, too.

My kids supplement with BBC spanish and Salsa spanish videos from GPB.

I liked Las Puertas retorcidas, although my children didn't. I thought it was really cute. I tried the Pobre Ana series, and one child read through the first book. I can't say he thought it was "fun" though. Both are available from Amazon. Both of those are more for reading practice.

 

You could do fun cultural activities, like cooking or celebrating Spanish or Latin American holidays. (El Dia de los Reyes is coming up!)

 

There's always watching movies with the Spanish language track turned on. We did a ton of that.
