Morelli!! I'm a total Cupcake!

 

Cupcakes are mellow and easy going. I have never seen (okay read) a crazier bunch than the Amazon Batbabes! Those chicks are get crazy! They'll attack with no hesitation, often even if the Cupcake is backing their statements up with page numbers. Unfortunately, the Amazon Batbabes seem to have read so much fanfic that that they tend to confuse fanfic Plum with actual Plum.

 

Plus I grew up in NJ. I went to high school with a lot of Plum-ish characters.

 

I wish the current books were more like the earlier ones. JE seems to be phoning it all in at this point. The fart jokes are old. Lula's been made into a caricature, Steph's lost what little common sense she had.

I know what you mean. I used to wait for new books to come out, but now I'm in no rush to read them, and just borrow them from the library.

 

Poor Stephanie has turned into such an incompetent, and although I used to like Lula, she has become annoying. Even Grandma isn't as much fun; it's just the same old, same old. And really, these two hot guys are totally in love with Stephanie, but the way JE portrays her these days, it's getting harder and harder to imagine what they see in her. She used to be great, but now I'm embarrassed for her a lot of the time.

I just checked Sizzling Sixteen out from the library last week. So far it does seem a bit formulaic. Absolutely twaddle reading, but still fun.

Fling with Ranger, have babies with Morelli - and isn't that the way they are written? Used to wake hubby up laughing out loud at these books, now a mild chuckle is all they bring. Still a fun way to let the old brain go to mush.

In my mind when I am reading the books Ranger looks like Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) . It will be strange to watch the movie and not see The Rock in that role!

Stephanie should look like the girl next door and that she can take care of herself....sort of like Kate from Lost. I like Amy Adams for the girl next door look too but I'm not sure she could handle herself in a Stephanie type situation. :lol:

Ranger. He loves Stephanie for who she is right now and at all times. He just loves and accepts her for her.

 

Morelli, on the other hand, 'seems' to be the perfect guy for her, except......he wants Stephanie to be what HE wants her to be. She is never 'ok' just being who she is. Why would any woman accept that? For security?

 

And, there is nothing that says Ranger would up and leave. I think he's amazingly responsible; he just keeps up an 'image'.

 

Ranger is the clear choice.

 

But....this issue should have been resolved after the 10th book. The rest of the series is......sad. I don't read them at all anymore; just the old books.
