What do you all think of pogo sticks? Yay or nay?

Ms ds likes his, but I have no clue what brand it is. It's at our other house, or else I'd go out to the garage and look for you.

I don't think it's anything spectacular -- it looks like a "normal" pogo stick. I think we'll need a new one soon, though, because I'm pretty sure ds is now over the weight limit for the one we have.

Our kids like them! For younger kids, they need to be heavy enough to get it going, so a smaller one like this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3726493 is what we have for our 5-8 age range and then we have this one for bigger kids: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3757548 but there isn't any rule about who can use what. I have a really light 11yo who used the younger one for a long time!

Hint: As soon as you get your pogo sticks, order MORE RUBBER PADS for the bottom! (There should be an included order form or ordering info in the box) They wear out and will need to be replaced if they get a lot of use and you must replace them before they wear out completely the metal on the bottom of the stick gets bent! Then you can't replace the pad thing. Anyhow, they are not expensive, but I like to order replacements right away so that we have them and no one needs to wait 4-6 weeks to play! LOL

We just got one for a family gift exchange gift from Toys-R-Us. They had a great variety to choose from. You can probably find a good coupon from them at this time of year. I think Target also has a few to choose from. We are very excited to see how this will be received by the young man whose name is on the wrapper! We had fun just buying it!

We have had this one and this one and both are good. After ds got heavier and better at it we took the bottom piece off the first one.

They love to get out there and see how many jumps they can do.

Cool, I'm hoping my kids will do the same. :D I can clean the garage and see them at the same time. They usually want to ride their bikes but I can't see them when I'm cleaning. :tongue_smilie:

Thanks for the heads up on the rubber pads!
