Hedgehog
I'm sure I've seen, somewhere in TWTM - or maybe in The Well Educated Mind? a list of books that are recommended for middle schoolers - please help me find it!! I am so frustrated that I can't locate it! :willy_nilly:

Jyniffrec
I had a really hard time keeping up with the book lists in TWTM. I finally made a spreadsheet with all the books and fields for both the stage and the subject (History, Art, etc). It has made finding the books much easier when I need a quick reference. Brenda in FL
That's great, thanks.. although.. I don't actually remember it looking like that  is there another one somewhere else? Or am I just loopy! It is listed twice: both in the text of the chapter and also at the end of the chapter where it lists the resources. In the second edition, pp.349-359 and 368-381. Hedgehog
You might have seen it online in this great books article. I haven't come across that before, but I was glad to read it actually because it's more concise than that section in the WTM and therefore more understandable for me! :tongue_smilie:

I have been slowly easing into doing History as SWB suggests. I like the idea but it is a lot to digest and then put into practice. This layout and book list is going into my plan. Thanks for posting the link!
