MSNative
Help! Anyone have any great recipes or ideas to share? I have about 10 neighbors and 5 teachers/coaches to make gifts for this year. I'd love some attractive, easy and not super expensive ideas. Thanks!!
thescrappyhomeschooler
Rice Krispie treats is what I did last year. Wrapped them up in cute treat bags with ribbons. They were a big hit.
Ali in OR
We're doing plates of cookies--pretty Christmas or winter holiday plate (haven't bought them yet) in a medium size that fits in a ziploc bag. And we're using the ziploc holiday bags. There are so many cookie recipes that I want to make this time of year, but I don't want our family eating 24 dozen cookies! So we'll give most of them away but have a dozen or so of each variety for us. Sugar cookies, the Hershey's kiss cookies, chocolate mint cookies, etc.
aggieamy
I'm making little containers of taco seasoning and bbq rub in baby food jars then tying a Christmas ribbon around them. If I have time I'll also do some jelly. If you go the seasoning route then buy the spices at ethnic stores because they are so much cheaper. Unicorn.
Plates of cookies, pumpkin bread (small loaves if you have the pans), mason jars w/ cookie mix- add a cookie cutter for sugar/cut-out type cookies. Homemade hot chocolate mix or spiced tea and a pretty mug.
