chickenpatty
Does anyone have any links to examples that might inspire her? She has the talent, but needs some inspiration & encouragement. She could do one for herself (horses, anything not girly) or her little sister (princesses or anything very girly). Any ideas and pictures would be appreciated! kalanamak
Can she do a Rousseau jungle? I love jungles or forests on walls. Another idea is something Georgia O'Keefish. She "blows up" well.
dcjlkplus3
My daughters both like the "home Tree" from the Tinkerbell movies, I think to get a still shot you have to pause the movie. I also like (along the same lines) the forest scene - with the light coming down from the opening of Beauty and the Beast.
The Girls' Mom
Definitely encourage!! I used to paint murals :) She can use the acrylic craft paints you can get at the craft store. They hold up well, and clean up is easy. Also, tell her to sketch her idea on paper first, then sketch lightly on the wall. (she can also use a grid system to enlarge) Here are a few cool ideas: http://www.mahoneymurals.com/Album-Kids%20Rooms/KidsRooms.html http://www.buckheadmurals.com/kids-gall.htm

elegantlion
We did a beach scene in ds's room when he was a toddler. We did clouds on the ceiling, a palm tree over his bed, a beach umbrella over the dresser and a sand border above the baseboard. We painted shells and crabs and stuff in the sand. His bathroom had the sea painted on the wall with foam cut out fish on the walls. We put a shark in the shower. Sorry don't have pics, but it was a great room.
