Video Game Recommendation for 9 yo dd?

I'm looking for something for my 9 yo dd for Christmas, either PC or Wii. I saw the thread on the Nancy Drew games, but I think they may be too intense and frightening for her at this point (although I think she'd like the solving mysteries aspect). She's been playing Dogz 2 on the Wii and enjoys that, and liked playing Littlest Pet Shop online (with the codes from the stuffed animals). We had Animal Crossing - it was played for awhile and then resold to the game store. Endless Ocean wasn't a big hit. She doesn't really like competitive games, either.

 

Any suggestions?

We rented Mario Party recently and dc really liked it. It's a board-game format, with lots of mini-games, and you can play as teams so it's not competitive. I didn't like that every player needs a remote - we have 2 remotes and ended up passing them around to take turns as the 2 players, instead of being able to play as 4 players.

My girls like the Cooking Mama games. There is a newer version for the Wii that looks really fun.

I highly recommend Kirby's Epic Yarn. Personally, I have found most wii games stupid. Mainly because they don't require much of a challenge and get monotonous. Super Mario and Super Mario Brothers Galaxy 2 are also a lot of fun. Donkey Country Returns is really fun too:)
