blessedmom3
I need to save , so are the cd's essential ?
lisabees
I would say yes, absolutely. Makes the experience that much richer. We just listen to the cd over and over again. Of course, you don't need to have it. ;)
Another Lynn
I thought the cds would be a convenient way for everyone to memorize poetry, but every time we put the cd in they wanted to hear the next poem, and the next and the next and the next, etc..... which did not lend itself to working on one poem over and over again until memorized. So, in my experience the cds were not worth the price, but ymmv. If you want convenient poetry appreciation - yes. If you want hard core poetry memory - maybe not? Listening to cds allowed us to get er done!
Mom0012
For us, they are. We use them to review in the car. We've done levels 1 and 2 of the program and are just beginning level 3. It would be very tedious and cumbersome for me to review previous levels without the cd. To review, the kids just recite the poems along with the cd. At this point, we review each level once a week. ladydusk
We use them every once in a while. When we start a new poem, or to spur us on to the end. Sometimes. Many poems we haven't listened to at all. The kids like it, but I would say they aren't absolutely necessary.
Veritaserum
We use it without the CD and haven't missed it. Every day we all recite the poems and once every week or so we learn a new one. The 2yo and 4yo join in. :) If I needed the program to be more independent, I might use the CD. Since we do it together, I haven't seen a need for it at all. Paintedlady
While not absolutely critical, the CD's make it so much more enjoyable that I can't imagine not using them.
Mallory
While we probably would use the cds if we had them, we make our own tapes, mp3s, and/or cds of thier memory work.
