jlcejb6
My four (fixing to be 5) yr old ds is begging to do school and especially his handwriting pages. We have a reason for writing K, he loves doing it but I am having the hardest time getting him to hold his pencil correctly. He has long skinny fingers and he just holds things very different. We were using small broken crayons and that helped, when I thought we had got the hang of it and moved to a pencil things just went down hill. Are there any other things I can try or use to help with this?
MaMa2005
These triangular pencils may help with his grip. Here is the Amazon link - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000PTQCN0/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001B0EUXG&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=06EAAFQFZRQ72PZX8W55 I found ours at the local teacher supply store. They come with stickers that show the child exactly where their fingers should be while writing.
