Gift Ideas for 5 year old girl

Recommended Posts

This is pathetic, and I know it's a wonderful, first world problem to have, but my 5 yr old doesn't really want anything for Christmas. When she looks at catalogs, she does the, "I want this; I want this," that advertising evokes, but there isn't anything in particular that she CRAVES. She's a big unicorn fan, but she has a stuffed unicorn and a pillow pet and some books. She's got plenty of clothes and tons of books. I figure I'll get her a new dress, a book or two, and a science kit, but I wanted her to have some sort of toy. Anyone have any ideas?

How about a Schleich unicorn? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=schleich+unicorn

I saw some unicorn Crocs the other day that my daughter loved! http://www.amazon.com/crocs-Toddler-Unicorn-Clog-Lemonade/dp/B003ARTSVM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1291130768&sr=8-1

A game? My DD is 6 now and she was really starting to get into board games around 5 years old.

Right now both of my DD's are into Disney's Rapunzel stuff.

These are the cutest sets of animal families that I saw at Wal Mart. My DD's are getting the owl family. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dtoys-and-games&field-keywords=Lil+Woodzeez&x=20&y=21

My youngest is almost 5. I had a horrible time trying to decide what to buy her, as well. For Christmas she is getting Playmobile and a collection of beads to string necklaces/bracelets, a wallet, and a duffel bag. For her birthday she will be getting a sleeping bag (this is big for her, as we hadn't been able to find one not made of polyester, to which she is allergic).

Squinkees, Zoobles, Littlest Pet Shop, Calico Critters....

Can you tell I have a girl about the same age?

Books are always good. If she likes art you could get her a simple step-by-step drawing book or some sort of craft. Both of my kids love those sticky tile mosaic kits. They keep them occupied for hours -- it's wonderful!
