Starr
Boys go through a weird size time as you are finding. You should be able to keep him in kids shoes through a size kids 6. Look around some more.
Lolly
http://www.zappos.com/c/shoe-size-conversion?gclid=COak3ryKx6UCFQl_5QodbjheZQ You can use these charts to sort of line up which boys'=which men's sizes. If you match up the men's cm to the cm chart for the boys you can see where they overlap. I remember making that jump into men's shoes quite well! It is a sticker shock. Catwoman
I think that, technically, boys' shoe sizes go up to 6.5, and men's starts at size 7. But... it's not always a day at the beach trying to get those sizes, and of course, there's often no rhyme or reason to the sizing from one company to another (or even one pair of shoes to another of the same style!) I just bought my ds some nice Ralph Lauren Polo shoes in size 6.5, and was thrilled that they fit, because the same style in men's sizes cost $75.00 more. I didn't have as much luck with the Timberland boots I bought for him, though...:glare: (But at least they were on sale!) In The Great White North
A shoe salesman actually told me that boys that age only wear sneakers so the only shoe you can get in a 5 or 6 is Adidas. :glare: None of the "real" shoe stores had any. K-Mart did. Leather, slip-on loafers with a cushy little thing in the heel.
Denise in IN
Have you looked at Kohls or Sears? I've had good success finding shoes for my boys in that size range at Sears.
Catwoman
Try Marshall's, too! Cat
elise1mds
I found sneakers and flip-flops that fit my boy from Academy. I also got slippers from Payless. He's somewhere between a 6 and a 7, and it's been rough. Dress shoes have been next to impossible to find, at least ones that don't fall off the back or pinch his toes.
